I currently provide freelance copy editing and proofreading services. My typical lead time can be anywhere from one to two weeks, depending on workload and depth of project. At this time, I am limiting my services to websites, blogs, business documents, and novels less than 400 pages.

So what's the difference between proofreading and copy editing?
Proofreading is typically the final review of a document before it is published. Typos and misspellings are corrected, commas are added or removed, and spacing and grammar are corrected.
Copy editing is an in depth proofreading service. The copy editor will take into account your intended audience and the image you are trying to portray. Suggestions will typically be made in Word or Google Docs when sentences should be reworded to ensure the writing is clear and concise. Copy editing almost always includes a review of sentence structure, formatting, syntax, consistency, style, mechanical errors, and attributes.
